On 23 October 1843, the statue of Lord Nelson was due to be hauled to the top of Nelson’s Column in Trafalgar Square, London. Before this was done, 14 men sat down to a dinner of rump steak on the plinth on top of the column, 51m above the ground.

On New Year's Eve 1853, dinosaur expert Professor Richard Owen held a banquet inside the framework of a model of a gigantic iguanodon dinosaur.
4 Champagne in Buckets
A wealthy businessman called C.K.G. Billings gave a dinner at Sherry’s restaurant in New York on 28 March 1903 to celebrate the completion of his new stables. All the 36 guests were on horseback. Their horses were brought to the ballroom by lift and the floor was laid with turf. The main course of pheasant was served out of nosebags, and the champagne in rubber buckets.
5 Gondola Party
American millionaire George A. Kessler held his birthday party at the Savoy Hotel in London on 30 June 1905. He had the courtyard flooded and decorated in Venetian style. His guests sat inside a gondola and were served by waiters dressed as gondoliers

The name hamburger is nothing to do with ham but comes from the German city of Hamburg. A burger was originally called a Hamburg Steak in 1989 the word hamburger first appeared in a restaurant view in the US paper Walla Walla union. It was in an phrase that was itself a mouthful.
