RE: A First Hand Account Of A Bizarre Witch Trial in 1736 Bedfordshire, England

in #history7 years ago

The first lessons about tolerance and acceptance. I mean when you think about it, we are the witches of today because we think differently about our world. The witch trials were a sad reality, but really did bring about change in how they looked at others. My hopes today is that people take from these lessons to not judge those who are different, and love each individual as they are. For we are all beautiful souls in our own right :) Thank you for shedding light on this. In Remembrance.

Thank you for the insightful comment. And I agree, I would hope that our treatment of others is not looked at in the same light in a few hundred years. I think this is also a scary reminder of the detriments of mob mentality. We should all aspire to educate, and think for ourselves. Disagreements are fine when they are argued with respect and a calm head.
