The 1935 photograph of Fradenand Porsche offers German Chancellor Adolf Hitler a Volkswagen Beetle at the request of Hitler to make a car accessible to all classes of people who had promised in his campaign to provide cars for all Germans.
Hitler proposed to Porsche that a popular car with five people be made and running at 100 kilometers per hour at a cost not exceeding 1,000 DM only. The Volkswagen was German's "car of the people" before it grew and invaded the world to become a car for all peoples.
