Great read man. I've been to Loch Ness but Nessie must of been shy that day hehe :) Often great lakes of immense depths were connected to the sea at some point, so it's possible that in this sheltered cocoon that a species nowadays considered to be a 'monster' could have made it their home.

I agree mate, there is much we do not know or have not discovered. New species are discovered in lakes and oceans all the time. The depth of water at Lake Baikal is over a mile at some points, that's ocean depth!
I'm fairly sure that there are many species of creature to be discovered. Or maybe some massive centuries old sturgeon moving around down there like submarines, who knows?
