I came here of no better reason than my addiction to history, at the mention of history, all my attention experience a paradigm shift, I love libraries too though we only have one in my state, which is the Ondo state library and it's in bad shape, I love the picture of Catherine and it made me want to google her up, that's the beauty of history it gives us a glimpse of understanding the past.
PS: You're an American living in Russia, what's your take on the repatriation of American back up and Russian all because of the nerve gas incident, what's your say.
Hello. First, thanks for the good comment. Next, I'm glad you found the post interesting. I stumbled onto the topic because two of my favorite characters in history are Voltaire and other writer's of the enlightenment and Catherine the Great (who is the secret love of my life, but I was born a couple centuries late). When I found that the library had Voltaire's personal library and Catherine founded the library to begin with I wanted to know more. They are both definitely worth a Google. Last question about the Skripal deal in the U.K. Maybe the Russians did it and maybe they didn't. There isn't any proof at this point and the U.K. has violated dozens of diplomatic norms. They have acted like children in my opinion, but most of the British citizens don't care. They want conspiracy and intrigue to explain their miserable lives instead of looking at the systems they have created to enslave themselves. Create a foreign "boogeyman" to blame everything on. The U.S. has done the same thing. It is hysterical, but scary at the same time.
