This story is about a spirit called the chinigua, who in her life used her beauty and charms to break the hearts of all men, none fell in love; When he died, he was not received in heaven, his soul remained in the streets of the island of Margarita, searching for anyone who could give his heart, and be able to rest in peace; the chinigua appears at night to the fishermen and when they turn to see they are captivated by their beauty and smile, the fisherman sees her and has a long black mantle when she removes the mantle, she finds that there is only a lot of bones, they clash, producing a macabre sound while the chinigua lets out a laugh. Her hair began to bristle as it ran through her body. The fisherman leaves there immediately, leaving fishing for another day.

The legend says that this spirited haunt tortures and punishes fishermen who do not care for marine fauna, depopulating the ocean and damaging marine species, as well as those maniacal women who do not respect their wives. To be able to chase away the chinigua you have to cross yourself and pray the creed, to infuse fear to the souls that come out at night, because if you insult or curse, persecute and storm forever.
