Historical Tourism Fort of Kuta Lubok Aceh

In ancient times of war, a fortress had a huge role for the lives of many societies. Likewise when you travel in Aceh, precisely in Kuta Lubok, a hill with a height of 40 meters above sea level, which became the assets of Lamreh Village, Masjid Raya District, Aceh Besar District.

A fortress that stood in the 12th Century AD named Kuta Lobok save a lot of stories. Bentok Kuta Lubok is part of the kingdom of Lamuri which is the first kingdom of Islam in the archipelago and became the beginning of the birth of Darussalam Islamic empire in Aceh.

Until now the fortress of Kuta Lubok is still a research material for some archaeologists to know its origin. However, preliminary findings reveal that this fort was

the oldest castle founded during the Lamuri Kingdom (believed to be Lamreh now) which is the oldest kingdom in Aceh.

Bentok Kuta itself is now present in a condition that is not maintained at all. High weeds surrounded the fortress area which made it look so dirty. Even so, if you visit this place, will still find the rest of the castle in the form of the letter L.

In the middle you can still see the rest of the fort still strong. Moving to the west, there is a building in the shape of the letter O. Uniquely, above this building there is also a towering towering tree with large roots spread and make the beauty of this building to be lost.

Although unkempt, the researchers will continue to explore the history of the fortress of Kuta Lubok. In addition, researchers are also continuing to invite the government to

"Securing" this place as one of the historical sites and also the tourist attraction
