Places that impress #1. Hiroshima

in #hiroshima7 years ago

Here I start a way of posts to posts some places I've been that really impressed me.

Hiroshima, the first civil city that was nuked is a place that everybody must visit, specially the nuclear museum, where it portrays the history of the nuclear planning and proofs of the effects. It's a place that nobody exits with the same sensation and spirit. That place changes your soul.

The park with the Cenotaph, with the name of the people dead due to the bomb and a lot of senbatsuru (One thousand origami cranes) and some trees that suffered the bomb.

When I was there, in 2004 (I made this photo), an old Japanese woman approached me and offered a pray after asking if I was American, when I said no, Spanish, her face seemed alleviated and with his pray I felt some strange sensation...

I'm planning to return this year to Japan and Hiroshima (and the nearly Miyajima) are one of the stops we are going to be a couple of days, and we are going to do this visit. We are not trying to consider this place as a sad place full of bad energy, we will consider it as a sample of resilience and adaptation to the worst, a sample to look for improvement.

What other places in the world have impressed you? Do you find this interesting?

Similar monuments I have visited were the Vietnam War Memorial,The Holocaust Museum, the Twin Towers excavation and others. All evoked very unique and deep interspection as well as energetic vibratory fields.
