As we announced in our last post, shorter is always better. Now and here, even if it's HiQs Flash №6, the relaunched HiQs Flash with more news. (Editor's note: But still less than in the monthly HiQs. Just weekly. LOOL)

Because we don't want to leave you out in the rain, which is what fall is known for, we've produced a hodgepodge of articles for you this week to sweeten your week on Hive. A new game sees the light of day and, as befits true Hivestylers, we had to dive right in.

But we also discovered a stylish community and took a closer look at it for you. It's all about podcasts in November. Want to know more? Stay tuned.

Block Horse Racing

We have joined the ranks of NFT horse-Gotchi betting breeders for you. Fun with horse feed and horse racing is now also available on Hive and not just in the new Wendi.

Since mid-March, the @blockhorseracing team has been working on a new blockchain game about horses. (Editor's note: Probably because horses are so popular with girls. LOOL) You can also send your horses to races and place bets on ongoing races. The game economy is based on the currency BHR, which you can earn by completing races. BHR and BHRT can be used to buy various chests with different contents. The chests contain game resources such as grass, apples, horseshoes, whips, martingales, studs, gringola, correction caps and power-ups. In addition to BHR, partnered game currencies are also accepted in the game.

The game is about choosing one or more horses and making sure they don't die. (Editor's note: A horsegotchi-like. LOOL) All horses are NFTs and are divided into ascending categories. It starts with Common, which costs 7.5 &dollars, up to Legendary, which costs a whopping 125 &dollars. Naturally, the more expensive horses also have better stats. All main NFTs can be bought with various Hive Engine tokens.

By feeding and training, which you can do on the horseshoe sign under your horses, you make your horses fitter and ensure that they stay healthy and get better stats. Each time you train, your horse's stamina and speed will increase by between 1 and 200 points. The more often you train, the better your horses become.

To earn tokens, you have to send your horses to races. By completing the races you also get the opportunity to train your horses in addition to the tokens.

There are different races, for which there are also different participation fees. However, most of them are payable with BHR. As you can see though, there are also races that can be paid for with BUDS and HUESO. Once you have decided on a race, all you have to do is click on "buy" and confirm with Keychain, then the race will run in the background. After the race, the rewards you have earned in the race will be credited.

But real hardcore blockchain Umagotchi fans naturally also want to participate in horse betting. (Editor's note: The funniest deadly sin. LOOL) Blockhorseracing has recently implemented the possibility to do so - the so-called sponsorship system. If you want to bet, you first have to deposit SWAP.HIVE. If you have some SWAP.HIVE in your wallet, you have to look for a running race.

There you can place your bets in the form of tickets. Each ticket represents a certain amount of SWAP.HIVE. For example, if one ticket is worth 0.01 SWAP.HIVE, 5 tickets are worth 0.05 SWAP.HIVE. The horse with the highest tickets then has the lowest quota and the horse with the lowest tickets has the highest. Incidentally, the owner of the horse receives 5% of the SWAP.HIVE bet on the horse.

So it's up to you: Do you become the ultimate equine Gotchi Pro and earn from the race wins and ticket wagers on your horses, or do you just bet for all you're worth so you don't have to think about keeping your horses alive? LOOL ★

NaPodPoMo

Sixteen years a monthly challenge for November was created. This challenge is National Podcast Post Month or #NaPodPoMo for short.

In 2007, 50 podcasters participated in the first ever National Podcast Post Month aka NaPodPoMo. Created by Jennifer Navarrete as an answer for an audio version to other 30 day challenges happening in the month of November. We are fortunate on Hive as the founder of NaPodPoMo is also a Hivian! Yes Jennifer Navarette @epodcaster founded this challenge.

Of course here at HiQ we like to think we are the podcasters of Style as we use the sultry tones of @solymi who presents our @hiq.smartcast. We do pride ourselves on pushing our staff to the limits so that we can bring to you our wonderful listeners the latest goings on in Hive. To this end we armed @tengolotodo with his expensive podcasting eqipment phone (Editor's note: LOOL) and told him to go forth and tell us all about it!

Communities are huge on Hive and it should come as no surprise to any user of the best blockchain on web3 that there is a NaPodPoMo community where you can see that the National Podcast Post Month is a 30 day podcasting challenge. We Hivians do love to use Discord and thanks to @alessandrawhite (Editor's note: We met her on HiveFest and what should we say - it was epic. LOOL) anyone participating in NaPodPoMo or who wants to find out more about it has loads of support available in the Creative Work Hour Discord Server.

Every day during NaPodPoMo there is a live Creative Work Hour session. This one hour is dedicated to National Podcast Post Month. It is fun to join. Last year @tengolotodo participated in NaPodPoMo with his show It Takes Two To Tengo.

It started out as a NaPodPoMo challenge and whilst daily podcasts were not achieved it provided so much fun to many people. It is also where an 82 years young character was created... Can you guess who? Yes it was where our very own and @craftink's character Matilda was created!

@tengolotodo has created a new podcast Transatlantic Accents: A comedy podcast.

As the title suggests it is a comedic take on the differences in words and culture between the two sides of the Atlantic. No need to fret, Matilda is waiting in the wings. She has been on a gin binge and will be recording Spaces on Twitter very soon and has indicated that she wants to interview another HiQ and CraftInk stalwart @ravenmus1c as well as the HiQ core members if they are up for a challenge! (Editor's note: We are up for every challenge except from drinking more gin than our Fillink stake. LOOL)

In the meantime if you like talking to yourself, then make a podcast, you won't regret it! LOOL. ★

Buzzparty aka HiveFest

From April 20th 2024 to April 21st April 2024 @tibfox is planning a mega-meetup (Editor's note: Or as it is called in the new language: Buzzparty) in Hamburg. The information from the announcement post almost looks like a small HiveFest with events and speakers. The event will be financed in part by @valueplan. And you also have the opportunity to donate. If you donate 5 HBD or more, tickets are already available. So spread the good news and if everything works out, we'll see you in Hamburg. LOOL

HiveFest 2023

HiveFest⁸, which took place in Rosarito, Mexico, is now over a month in the past. But is it really? Not if the organizers have their way. They now have a HiveFest-Call-to-Action for you. The short form: Share HiveFest videos on various Web2 platforms such as YouTube, X or TikTok and get upvotes. The long form ....

SPK Proposal

For those who have never slept under a relevant hive block, we would like to briefly mention the new SPK Proposal. SPK is the 3Speak Secondlayer, which will be able to do a lot in the future. In order to finance the development, there is a proposal which you can of course vote for. With 390.09 HBD per day for 243 days = 94791.87 HBD, SPK could elevate 3speak to the top Web3 video frontend.

You can now enhance your Actifit reports with 3Speak videos. We can immediately think of a few use cases to make high-quality Actifit reports. For example, you could lie about how incompetent cashiers are when you want to use your Bitrefill supermarket vouchers, which you got with HIVE, for shopping. And you can use the upvotes on the reports for new vouchers to annoy incompetent cashiers again and immortalise them on 3Speak in revenge.
