We are providing the contest for @heyhaveyamet's week three contest celebrating their six month anniversary. Because at the Steem Terminal we are all about knowledge and helping, we thought we would put the teaching in your hands for this contest! That's right, we are turning the tables upside down giving you the opportunity to show us what you have learned.
We would like all of you to create a tutorial that would help a new person find their way in the world of Steem. Is that post a video on how to use Dtube? Will you write a step-by-step guide on how to sign up for #Ginabot, #SBI, or #dustsweeper? Would you possibly even step out of your comfort zone and write a post explaining what plagiarism is and how to site sources? There are so many ways you could go!
Scott and I wrote a post a few months back to help new people understand some of the things they needed to know the first few months. We linked to other blog posts with the needed information; please take note of the sourcing of the links and images used. You are more than welcome to jump over to this post and see this post.
If a step-by-step tutorial is more to your liking you might look I to something like what @bloggerkrunal did. Take note the citing of sources throughout the post and links to help clarify information he wants his audience to know. (Our thanks to you @bloggerkrunal for using his excellent tutorial as an example.)
Rules & Guidelines for a "Tutorial Contest"
• Write your own tutorial about how to do something on Steem or Discord, something others might enjoy learning.
• Write your own text — do not copy content from Steem Terminal or HHYM posts/comments (although those can be used for inspiration).
• Cite a source for all of the photos/images which appear in your post.
• Be creative, and write about things which might truly be helpful to others.
• Please cover the topic as completely as you can, thinking about questions you had when learning it!
• Post should be at least 250 words.
• One of your five tags should be: #hhymcontest3
• Deadline will be on Saturday, June 22, 2019 at 11:59 PM Eastern Time Zone.

Yes it is a brilliant idea for a competition that can be so helpful for new comers
We may run another one in the future. We haven't received as much of a response as we thought we would. I guess we will have to give more notice next time.
Ren
I think thats a good idea, sometimes it takes a couple of tries for something to gain traction
