Today I ran into a 14 year old Amish girl at her Amish farm. We talked about her way of life according to "Old Order" religion. She explained to me that her people didn't cut their hair, used kerosene to cook, traveled by horse and buggy, and were against the use of modern technology and electricity (no phones, Internet, etc.).
Today I am just amazed by what kind of people exist in the world and what blessed lives they live.
Looking into the distance, I imagined a life like hers...surrounded by greenery, simplicity, and consistent growth.
I reflect on my day, thankful to meet and learn from these wonderful, pure people. And I hope to instill these ideas in me as I go home to face a society inspired by commercialism, media, and material. #LearnEveryday
