The 7 principals of Hermetism
1: principal of mentalism
embodies the truth that all is mind and universe is mental
2: principal of correspondance
as above so below as below so above
as the universe so the soul
3: principal of vibration
everything vibrates
nothing rest , everything vibrates
from the lowest in the scale to the highest
everything is in constant motion
4: principal polarity
everything has its pair of opposites
opposites are the identical in nature but different in degree
5: principal of rhythm
the pendulum swings manifest in everything
all thing flows in and out
the measure of the swing to the right is the measure of the swing to the left
6: principal of cause and effect
there is cause for every effects and effects for every cause
everything happen according to law
chance is but a name for law not recognised
7: principal of gender
everything has its feminine and masculine principal
everything contains the two elements
feminine mind and masculine mind
without the two of those , mental and spiritual creation is not possible
