This recipe is awesome for summer dryness, acne problems and antiaging too.
Recipe below:
Mix 2oz of carrier oil (I infused grapeseed oil with comfrey root a few months ago) then add 20 drops of essential oils (I was drawn to lavender and chamomile today). You can use the infusion for many products or by itself, and it will last until its gone.
Q. How do you infuse does it just mean soaking the comfrey root in the oil? This is such a great idea though would love to try it! X @foragingmama
A. Yes, get a mason jar and fill it with the herb you plan to use then cover it with oil. You can use almond, olive, grapeseed, sunflower, or any other good quality oil with benefits you are drawn to. I then put a lid on it and put it in a sunny window for a few weeks.
The fast process is to put a glass bowl inside a pot of boiling water, add the herbs, oil, and simmer for an hour or more. This method, however, allows some of the essential oils locked in the herb evaporate, so I often prefer to infuse it with sunlight. I hope this helps, good luck
