Hello, Steemians.
I have been on steemit for about a week and I noticed that the platform is currently supporting the big investors who spend a lot of money to boost their posts, or the old steemians who have attained good SP and have influence in the community.
It would'nt be wrong if we call it the whales park where the benefit goes to the big powerful members. Their post remain on trending page, while the minnows just dream to earn a few cents.
It was possible to get some cents for newbies until upvoting for content was an open option, but it seems that people are afraid to upvote the content of new members. Moreover posts of newbies disappear from page to bottom or more down and they never get themselves in trending.
Its not only my question but all the new minnows that how can they grow in such environment.
If there is some exceptional way please comment so this issue may get fixed or at least the reservations of newbies get clarified.
Hoping for satisfactory guidance from Whales, Dolphins and other senior members.

Thanks for your precious time.
Hi stemy, we are asking the same question about fainess and equality. Actually even in the real world life is unfair. Infact huge investor takes the largest pie while the simple citizen takes only the fraction of a fraction from the left over.
Here on steemit, we also do living in a virtual world. Where the investor are called whales while minnows are their worker.
Even the food chain speaks the same, in the sea small fish are forming school of fish to hunt food and survive. And that school of fish love by the whale. Whale itself the one who came forward to the group of small fishes.
And it the same here on steemit, if only these minnows unites and form a large group, upvoting each other and curates. Then sooner whales will come forward due to ciriousity and do the same.
Therefore, this minnows only grow if united and formed a school of minnows. A simple answer to a tricky question.
Indeed, 1000% agree!
Absolutely right @exx007. But its too difficult to act upon. Because the toughest task in the world is being united, even it ll be for our own sake. Let's hope it gets better. Stay optimised.
Write good, useful content. It's very important not to just position the post(f.e. promote), but write content, that actually'll be very interesting or solve some problems. Then your post will be resteemed and finally you'll reach greater audience.
Thats right @idunno. But most of the posts disapear in short span of time and a newbie with less SP remain undiscovered. It does'nt happen to all but most.
Anyhow thanks for your valued suggestion.
Ok, let me explain this in other way. Don't look at your post like an one-shot-earn. If your post will be valuable, then doesn't matter if one can see it on the main page or not. Steemit is becoming bigger and bigger every day, and people are finding there information from searches, f.e. google, or steemit search. Your post can earn in a long term also.
Yes, this is optimized aspect.
You dont only earn from posting, commenting and curation is quite good if you are a newbie.
Hi, I am working on steemit since july this year. I am posting unique & original content mostly photography that i do but has not yet earned 10$ through posting or curation. What should I do?
Would you have had that $10 if you were not on steemit? Probably not, Im not sure why you think that is a bad result in your first month.
Engage with people in the communities you love, dont just post pictures, add tips, tricks, stories behind the pictures, follow people and add value to their posts, once people see you regularly adding value, you will get more attention.
If you focus on the community, you will enjoy it and the money will come on its own. If you focus on the money, you will never enjoy the experience.
I added a community thread to https://beta.chainbb.com/ as an example, that got me a lot of followers who now often upvote my work when its geared for that specific community.
You have to truly engage with people. And for all that work, in over a year I made a few hundred dollars, Im perfectly happy with that.
I have same question. Its just luck to grow overhere. :(
Well, you asked the million dollar question... Do share you summarized answer also whenever you get it
Sure I Will do it. You may resteem it to let it reach to the biggest stack holders.
You can see the issue is being noticed by influencers. There is a curation message above you comment by #whalepower. So the change is on the way.
