Hello my fellow steemers.I am writing this post to get some help from you all.I live in the city called negombo in western part of Sri Lanka.I recently joined steemit and currently working as a security officer in the government sector in Sri Lanka.Many of you all might be unaware of the severe drought in Sri Lanka.Recently there was flooding in all southern section of the country but unfortunately for all other parts of the country It did not rain from January 2017.We obtain drinking water from the wells and as it did not rain the water level in the well which we get drinking water has gone down and now its not possible to obtain water from the well.The following article was posted on February 2017 on indian news express.
To obtain drinking water I need to build a new tube-well soon like in following picture.For me to build it it will cost around In sri lankan rupees around 20000 thats around 150 US dollars.I am a government worker and my monthly salary is around 50000 sri lankan rupees for a month(approximately 350 US dollers).Currently 153 Sri lankan rupees = 1 US dollar. I will be getting my salary on 20 th of this month.but I cannot use it to make the tube well as I am the one who look after my family needs.My wife and I live with my parents and we are also looking into their needs.So I had to lend 150 USD from a friend telling him that I'll pay him next month.
I took some photos of the well and the remaining water will be enough for few days.Before the drought we could take water from this well just by putting the hand.I kindly ask your help to build my new tube well.I will start building it soon when I find someone who makes tube wells.I need to start it as soon as possible as the remaining water level of my well is going to be over in few days.I wiil post the construction of the new tube well when building.

I wish I was in a position to do what you have just done... but I am just getting started and simply don't have the resources yet. But I am watching this page, and if @sandunfernando doesn't reach his goal and have this resolved, I will try to help after payday this weekend myself. Thanks friend.I asked for a little help from this community.The really truth is in Sri Lanka and Other developing countries there are lot of poor people hardly having money even for their daily meals.I am having a idea to raise funds and help them.As sri lankans we help each others.We are a Buddhist country and I am a Buddhist too. Thanks to steemit and the steemit developers and all the steemit community members.

I am now able to transfer 50 steem as well. I wasn't able to get quite up to @stellabelle's generous gift because I didn't get the paycheck I was expecting to get this week, but it's the best I can do right now. been busy with the construction of the tube well.I provides the drinking water to the people in our area.Most of people have built new tube wells hope it'll rain soon.We'll pary for it.
