Raw Foodies: Healthy Turmeric Latte

in #healthyliving8 years ago (edited)

This healthy Turmeric Latte is also called The Golden Milk.
But this special recipe is a nice Summer Cooler or Winter Warmer at the same time.
It's rawlicious, that means raw = not cooked and vegan = no dairy products.

Turmeric is one of the strongest natural remedies against cancer and inflammatory illnesses.

Ingredients:
2 cups of water
2 pieces turmeric
1 piece ginger
3 tablespoon coconut creme
3-5 dates

Blend the coconut creme with the water to get a creamy coconut milk than add the other ingredients and blend up well to get a creamy Golden Milk.

It's very delicious and also very healthy.

Lovely. Thank you for posting.

Thank you for commenting I hope you'll try it!

Wow I've never had golden milk with dates that sounds amazing! The one I usually do is coconut milk, turmeric, fresh ginger, cinnamon, and raw honey. Inspiring me to do some of my food own recipe, thanks.

I'm glad you like it! The thing with the dates is to use "fresh", well, in this case dried products and to keep it vegan. Some people don't want to use honey because it's not strictly vegan. But in fact you can use the sweetener you want!

I'm not vegan because I don't like being categorized but I eat a mainly vegan diet and did not know that about honey. That's next level haha. My favorite dates so far are the Medjool's because they still have a nice moistness to them. Psyched to try it!

Medjools are great but expensive! I try not to categorize anybody. I'm not a vegan myself. I'm simply looking for the best parts for me! haha!

Exactly I just do what feels best and often that means eating a lot of fruits and veggies haha. Yes I agree they are expensive I get them from a local bulk bin and only grab a few at a time... good point.

That's a very interesting recipe - I might need to try it!
