Let me start by telling you my first (and hopefully last) Ringworm experience, shortly.
•It Started With An Itch.
Late November 2017, I was in a vacation, an itch made me feel uncomfortable. It was just below my shoulder. To cut the long story short, my boyfriend took a picture of it since it was out if my sight (and I didn’t figured I could just use the mirror yet). He told me it was just a rash that was about to fade, looking at the picture; it was a bit swollen, not that red-ish and has pelled skin at the center. So I ignored.
•Red, Wide, Itch.
My vacation lasted ‘til 1st of December, I noticed the itchy rash became too itchy last December 3, so I checked on it using the mirror, and dear God, it was wider, a size of a ¢25 (Philippine coin). Worried sick, I asked my mom. Her diagnosis? Yep…
•RINGWORM!
Why? When? How?
I was utterly devastated, I didn’t know what to do especially when mom told me that it has the tendency to spread. While mom said it the best Home Remedy would be the juice of Malungay vegie, I was never contented. I swear I almost had read every article on Google and the Home Remedies they were suggesting were imposible. Until I stumbled in an article (I totally forgot the site).
•THE REMEDY!
While each blog/articled talked about ointments and anti-fungal cream for a faster result. I had to choose between:
Aloe Vera or Apple Cider.
There were numbers of Home Remedies, but since the Apple Cider was just in the kitchen, that’s what I tried.
Apple Cider Magic
Each articles, regardless if it’s home remedies or cream, says that to be able to make sure the Ringworm was completely cured, one must apply the remedies for 2 weeks.
The very night that I started applying the Apple Cider, the itch faded in less than a sec.
The following days, washing my Ringworm with soap then applying Apple Cider thrice a day became my routine.
In three days, the redness faded and the swell began to reduce.
In six days the “ring” around it was starting to fade and the Ringworm was barely noticeable.
Since my boyfriend was still too worried, I had to buy a cream. They said Canestin Cream was the Best Anti-Fungal cream in the country, but I didn’t found any. The last pharmacist I talked to gave me ( ) which only has 1% cream. Converting it to US dollar, I think it was about $2.00. That was the 7th day.
On the 9th day, I couldn’t tell much where my Ringworm was. Only used the cream for 3 days, I applied it twice each day, afterwards, I’m Ringworm (itch) free!
Conclusion:
Though, I know the cream helped, at 6 days, my Ringworm was already nearly cured. I didn’t have to continue the routine for 2 weeks. All thanks to Apple Cider!
Though Ringworm is considered a minimal/normal fungal disease, it should never be ignored, for it could spread out and worsen.
Hope this helped!
Have a great night/day ahead!
xx
