Lately i've been watching the news quite often, even tho i don't really understand Slovak. Yesterday i was scrolling through Facebook, and a post from slovak television came up. It was about healthcare so i decided to check it out. Honestly i wish i didn't because reading this made me realize how shameful my country is.
Basically what happened is that a doctor denied medical treatment from a patience because he wasn't vaccinated. He went outside to the waiting room and announced that every patient who isn't vaccinated can go home. I mean, how can they do that? is it normal to just send someone home who needs to see a doctor? The medical law says that every person has the right to be treated, and it seems like this "doctor" who i won't name forgot that he took an oath when he decided by this profession.
As Carl Jung once said
"Medicines cure diseases but only doctors can cure patients"
The news traveled across the whole country, and even had a police matter. What will happen to the doctor after this outrageous act is still unknown but i don't think he will just walk away from this since this goes against a lot of main principles of healthcare.
A doctor who denies treatment. How far can this pandemic push people? In my opinion what he did is unacceptable, i get it if he's scared or just trying to be careful. But not treating a patience who needs treatment is just wrong.
Surely this is just my opinion.
I would love to hear how your countries healthcare changed since the pandemic if it did, and if you ever experienced something like this.

Maybe he was an asshole but maybe he is trying to protect himself from getting kicked out from the hospital. But it is sad what this pandemic has done. Its push people to their limits, organizations and politics being disrupted, big pharmaceutical companies making this a business.
In my country, we haven't reached that point of having to deny unvaccinated people inside the hospitals but we never know in the future. So far we (unvaccinated) are not allowed to dine in on some restaurants. I'm already thinking this might go on for a few more years!
I agree. This is situation is getting really out of control, and the fact that people still trying to make money out of something this big is sad.
Vaccination is not something you have to do, so governments shouldn't deny anything from people who decide not to vaccinate themselves.
