I remember when I lived in Japan, I had this big thing going with lemons. If I got a wedge with a meal in a restaurant, I'd squeeze it on the food and then insist on eating the flesh. And then there was my favourite drink out there (after beer :) ):
Lemon sours. You'd squeeze half a lemon into a big glass containing soda water, ice and a load of a Japanese liquour - shouchou.
They were so nice. One was never enough.
I have a lot less lemon these days but do still like it on battered cod when I go to the chippie. And I eat tons of oranges and love my lime wedges where appropriate.
Citrus fruits are great, aren't they? :)
