Great article. Really hit home for me. I'm a perpetual traveler, and I should have known better about a year and a half ago in Ecuador, I got a nasty case of food poisoning. Instead of using colloidal silver which doesn't kill the good bacteria, I took a round of antibiotics. It killed off so much of my good bacteria I was left with an intestinal Candida overgrowth infection. Eating a few donuts afterwards really gave these buggers the sugar they needed to mess me up bad.
I've been able to balance my gut using methods you mention, fasting, no sugar diet, pro-biotics. One thing that is a powerful anti microbial is a good quality apple cider vinegar. Coconut oil will also kill off the bad stuff as well. A good quality natural yogurt will help repopulate with good bacteria.
But my favorite and most powerful candida killer is not for everyone. Cayenne chili powder. If you make a chicken vegetable stir-fry with mostly garlic, peppers, and onions. Then add a heaping tablespoon or more of this spice. It will kill the bacteria fast. This may be, blow the smoke out of your ears spicy, but if you can take it. It's incredible, you'll see the results in bathroom not to get too descriptive. But wow that works!
On a further note, I'm a perpetual traveler and have been living out of a backpack for more than 10 years. I've only been on Steemit less than 3 weeks and I've already got a post that has gotten great review. It's titled "World Travel Report: Ecuador" I'd love for you to see it and I'm sure you'll enjoy.

Later today I'll be posting about how to get the best price for airline tickets. I'm sure you'll find it useful.
