Lots of people day in day out forget to take off their makeup and end up sleeping with it, sometimes it may not be really their fault but it not a wise thing to make a habit of, thus If you are fond of going to bed regularly with your make up still on let us take a minute and go through this to learn why what you are doing is definitely wrong and unhealthy.
Our skin happens to be the biggest organ of the body because it takes the largest surface area hence it ought to be well cared for. During the day our skin is under stress, let us use the term protection mode in this instance because it is protecting you from the obnoxious rays and radicals, at night, naturally it goes into repairing mode to recreate cell, regenerate collagen and whole lot more thus by sleeping in makeup, the skin ends up working 24/7 without a time to go into repair mode well.
Here are some of the few things that may happen when you sleep with your makeup on
Eye Irritation and Infection

When we fail to remove our makeups we cause the skin to dry up, there is also development of redness, infection and irritations. Consider this scenario, after roaming about all day, all the dirt and germs your makeup may have come across hangs on with you through your night, yes it is that bad. The skin may be tolerating in lots of things but eventually it would loss it and flare up when it persists. So do not use makeups any more than you have to and do not definitely sleep with it.
Wrinkles

You would agree with that the world out there is not a sterile environment and that there are lots of dirt out there, ranging for smokes, water, air and land pollutions, during the day somehow they make their way onto our skin and when they are not gotten rid of they catalyze the oxidative reactions that our skin already face from growing old and cause pre-mature aging. Sleeping in your make up will breakdown the collagen and cause your skin to age faster.
Clogged Eyelash Follicles

When you sleep in mascaras and thick eye liners they end up most times clogging the hair follicles and the oil glands that are on our eyelids. When this happens bumbs otherwise known as stye or hordeolums may develop which may lead to further conditions such as blepheratis and others. So my advice to my dear readers, desist from the habit of going to bed with makeup.
