DO NOT CHECK YOUR SMARTPHONE!
Yes, I am really serious and being practical. And I am not preaching here. I am just giving advice from personal experience and all that I have read, known and learned.
How I Came To This Realization
There was a time in my life when the first thing I did in the morning was checking FB and Twitter. It was a normal thing for me but soon I realized (after reading Deep Work by Cal Newport) that this was unhealthy to life, health and negatively impacted everything else. I thought of bringing a change to this bad habit of mine.
What Strategy I Employed
I do yoga, meditation and Sudarshan Kriya in the morning. All this I learned in Art Of Living courses and I practice it daily. But for a long time, it was not the first thing I did but second thing. First was, as you all can guess right i.e. check my smartphone!
I build a system that I will not touch smartphone until I finish my morning practices. I experimented with it for few days and results were highly positive, healthy, happy and life -supporting. I soon made it a regular habit.
Way Forward
Seeing the dramatic results, I moved smartphone-check time to post-breakfast and then post-lunch, except for any emergency stuff. Soon the anxiety of checking smartphone dropped off and today I live a better, healthier, happy and much productive life.
Few Benefits
Improvement in sleep quality

You have been victim of a @GrumpyCat flag because you or someone else sent money to buy votes from an irresponsible non-GrupyCompliant service.
@sneaky-ninja is acting irresponsibly by selling votes to people on their post in the last hours before payout. = 99.99% abuse rate.
Sending money to @sneaky-ninja is also financially supporting for-profit spammers.

When are you going to correct your stupid typo. It's seriously getting more annoying than your flags. What is GrupyCompliance? I've pointed this out to you already and so have others.
If you're going to be the dictator of steemit, can you at least fix your typo? My OCD kicks in every time you post it. It's one thing to make a typo, but to mispell your own name 750,000 times is a little ridiculous. You should consider proof reading your posts.
Other then that, I still wish you would stop flagging innocent people and start flagging those who are deserving of flags.
Have a great day and have fun raping the rewards pool while claiming to protect it. You know what you're doing, I know what you're doing, and those that can stop you probably put you up to this. Again, I still hope that this all works out in the end. It's clear to me that whoever owns @sneaky-ninja doesn't give a damn what you're doing to choke them out. Good luck though

Actually, I did not know this. But how can someone who is just starting know all these and then be downvoted for a mistake which one did not know was a mistake.
But is there a way to totally stop such bots so that beginners like me do not lose money invested in steem which is actually hard-earned and also not be downvoted for really good-quality posts that take time, effort and sincere intention to help people out there?
I think what @grumpycat is doing is okay. He wants to stop bid-bots vote-bots and vote sellers from supporting people like @phoenix-group. A steal/take an image from somewhere on the internet, put a number before the picture, then call on a bid-bot, a vote-bot, a vote-seller, and take money from the reward pool, while making money off the back of a hard working photographer, who is likely barely able to feed his family. So @grumpycat has my support. Also if anyone's content is so valuable to steemit, why do they need to use a bid bot a vote bot or a vote seller? By using those services you and anyone else that uses them are stealing from the reward pool, and the only one making money is the bid bot owners and vote sellers. It is not @grumpycat that needs to wake up and smell the coffee, it is the buyers, and like the saying goes, "buyer beware".
I also was little hesitant to use bid-bots but I saw video by @joeparys where he explains why these made at first place. It allows people to invest in Steem and promote their posts and grow on the platform, esp. Minnows.
Else why will I invest my USDs into Steem. Lot of people have invested and this also supports the Steem economy and the model of development [which is a Village model].
I am making these statement after reading the Steemit White Paper and Steemit 101 and the philosophy on which Steem is based upon. Hope I made myself clear. Also you need to read @firedream to know the subject deeper and why @grumpycat is not all pure and white.
And the biggest question is why only he is behaving like this, as if he is appoointed as a Guardian Angle by Ned Scott himself.
@grumpycat does not care what you post - only that you use HIS annointed bid-bots - and NOT the ones that he himself uses.
He upvotes his own comments and those of his sock account @checkthisout to the tune of hundreds of dollars, while down-voting others for doing what he does.
I am aware of some of the actions he has taken, and how he appears. His check this out was to show people in as dramatic way as possible how the self vote can work. There are no rules governing how a person votes. Even @ned has used the self upvote on comments.
What he is trying to do is set a standard of know who you are buying from, who you are selling to. Pawn shop owners in general try to run honest establishments, yet they are still held liable if they knowingly buy/sell stolen property.
Consumer reports does not care what product you buy/use. A lot of people use the consumer reports and UL listed labels when deciding on a product to buy, as an indicator that it is a safe and reliable product and that it meets certain standards. People decide what Movies to buy and bring into their homes for their children to view based on the Movie rating criteria, because they trust the Standard.
That is what @grumpycat is/has been trying to do for the last several months regarding these bid-bots. He has tried to get a voluntary minimal standard in the past, that did not work. He has a lot of money invested, and now to protect that investment, and to protect the users, he has implemented his higher standard. If people don't like it they do not need to use his bots, or the bots that comply with his standards, he has more than adequately let people know what actions he is willing to take to protect his investment.
If you really do not like what and how he is trying to protect his investment, all you have to do to silence him is invest more than $1,925,344.68, (his current account value), and downvote him to where he is no longer able to defend and protect his investment.
Yep - money rules! I'm sure his methods of lining his own pockets are very altruistic.
At the rate he's withdrawing his holdings, we won't need to worry about him much longer!
Umm, Even if they did invest 2 Million USD, that would not preclude him from downvoting and/or resteeming. His method is aimed at a single issue and that is last minute votes by bidbots. That's it. Not plagiarism, not low quality posts. Furthermore, he only explores a single option for dealing with the problem. This shows a lack of perspective and a tendency to disregard the power of the community as a whole.
The flag was a small % of your post because it was a first offense.
Be careful in the future.
Ps: @allaz and @aksdwi are next.
That is ok but how can I know which bots to use and which to reject. For users like us, there is no way I can know which bots are abusing the system and which ones are not.
Now as u said, I won't be using @allaz and @aksdwi but what is guaranteed that if I use some other bid-bot it won't turn out to be same as sneaky-ninja and again for no mistake of mine , my post will be down-voted.
Read grumpy's comment
Read that but after reading thread by @firedream it seems @grumpycat is playing the dirty game, making lot of money by playing smart under garb of being good and truthful and also continuing doing so.
Firedream made scripts to help him but after investigation it was found out that he is all gone insane. Money makes anyone go mad, and @grumpycat is no God, as far as Money is concerned.
Agreed, grumpycat might not have the best of intentions. Dunno. I was just pointing out how to choose bots that wouldn't trigger a flag from him. :)
I would do your own investigation as to whether or not the bots are actually abusing the system. Don't take this cat's word for it. He has proven to be unable to make an objective assessment.
@firedream @bashadow @randyw @cryptosharon To all who were part of this thread and discussion, see what @grumpycat did 2 hours back.
He just upvoted his comment and will have the potential payout in 4 days. Maybe another way of making more money or just another attempt to show oneself as a Messiah or Guardian.
It is unfair you are a victim of a bully @grumpycat.
Spread the word!

If I see my case, because of his action
So in a way, I lost a little but if we see the total picture it is a win-win for a user like me and platform like Steemit.
What problem I have is that
What he is doing is not solving the root cause problem [eliminating rogue bid-bots]
And I also came across fact that he makes a lot of money doing this, creates little doubt in my mind.
And from now on I will always be in a dilemma on which bots to use and not to use.
If somebody [even @grumpycat] can tell me which are good ones, I will only use them from now on.
Self-regulation never works and will never work. You always need someone to monitor, guardian and take care of a community, family , company or any other group for that matter. And here where a lot of money is involved, definitely it will not work.
Self-regulation only works in case of righteous society or group of individuals and not where few or all are trying to pull others down and move ahead to become famous and rich.
I went through some of the posts on this matter and all I can do is use bots with mac post age <=3.5 days. Nothing else is in my control!
Also, I am in here[on Steemit] for long-term and also have to look into my freelance web design work, but do let me know if I can do something about it.
Sneaky Ninja Attack! You have been defended with a 43.21% vote... I was summoned by @vickywiz! I have done their bidding and now I will vanish...Whoosh
Thanks a lot.
One thing I would like to say @sneaky-ninja, you are highly creative even with your upvote messages. Really amazing!
