I think we disagree on the definition of what ego is. Ego is simply 'I' - the part of you that knows who you are. There is no inherent need or want to ego particularly. The imbalances in the ego come due to the ego being given too much of the heavy lifting in life and so we have a sense that our own individuality is what will bring us what we need, rather than us simply having the ability to attract what we need using the inherent and inbuilt principles of attraction in this universe.
