Destress in five minutes

Imagine you are near a sea. The waves are thrashing and foaming. There is a beach and small kids are playing. Hawkers are selling foodstuff and other things essential. Food stalls from which aromatic smells are arising and wafting to your nostrils. You are lying down on a comfy chair and you have a large umbrella over you, protecting you from the sunlight.

Imagine you are enjoying the scene and the peace. The feeling of comfort and not being disturbed is great. You walk over to the food stall and drink a huge cup of tea and eat your favourite spicy snack. You feel that all worries are behind you and time is yours.

Never think of the past and never worry about the future. Look at the kids. They worry not about the next moment. They do not worry about investments of future. They just live life for the moment and relax.

Spending some time as described above will rejuvenate you and bring you back to the state where you feel that you are in control and living your life again.

Whenever you feel depressed, imagine like this in whatever way you wish and you will be able to feel the stress go away. We are the main reasons for our stress. We are in control. Let us not give the control to others.

For example, if someone tries to taunt you or insult you, please do not choose to get angry or retort. Just ignore them and they will not get a kick out of seeing you dancing to their tunes.

Please do not be upset and react without thinking. We are given brains to think wisely and then act. Use the brain to make good decisions and then speak and act accordingly.

You are important

You are brave

You are special

So, start living life for your self
