I woke up from my sleep, immobilized, unable to move body! I tried to make a sound, but I couldn't even open my mouth. Has this ever happened to you? This article describes the experience perfectly. Facts that every person needs to know about sleep paralysis.

Findings has it that Sleep paralysis often occurs at one of two times. If it occurs while you are falling asleep, it's referred to as hypnagogic or predormital sleep paralysis. If it occurs as you are waking up, it is called hypnopompic or postdormital sleep paralysis.

When you sleep, what happens is that your brain sends a command to your body's voluntary muscles to relax and go into a state of paralysis known as Atonia. This tends to restrict your physical movements in your dreams which help prevent your body from any external injury. In a sleep behavior disorder or nightmares, atonia does not happen properly and the voluntary muscles move while the mind remains asleep. This is why when people walk or talk, they are completely unaware of what they are doing.

Don't be scared but try as much as possible to stay away a very strenuous work as well as anxiety. It's not a Disease
