Allergic to pets - what to do?

in #health6 years ago (edited)

When we say that we are allergic to hair, we are actually wrong. Allergies cause proteins from animal skin and saliva.

You love hairy pets. You two and your four-legged ball are the family, but you have decided for the child. What to do because it is known that about 10 percent of people have reactions to animal hair or at least that's what we think. Namely, when we say that we are allergic to the cat or dog, we are actually wrong.

Because allergies are actually caused by proteins secreting the glands of animal skin, as well as proteins present in animal saliva.

So the animals are transmitted to the hair that drops and allergic people have a lot of problems.

What are the symptoms?
Allergic reactions are similar to those of aeroalergens, which include sneezing, nasal congestion, itching or narrowing of the eyes. Of course, it is easiest to avoid animals. But, in this case, they also use antihistamines. The most sensitive are small children and infants, but some studies have shown that just growing up with pets creates immunity that can later be reflected in such a way that it will be less prone to other allergies or asthma.

Animal allergies occur mainly in periods of several years. Unlike allergens, occurring occasionally, depending on the bloom of plants, and food allergies that we simply avoid, life with a pet means year-round exposure to allergens.

What can we do?
What we can do is keep the lover in the yard, but we do not allow entry into the room. But, on the other hand, even if you donate to a pet, it will take a long time before the symptoms stop, as animal allergens are kept for a long time indoors.

According to the data, it seems that the largest number of allergic persons on dogs. But that does not have to be true, because only the fact that it is in households is the most dogs. It is also often discussed about hypoallergenic livelihoods because there are, for example, breeds with which hair does not fall, but it does not have too much influence, as we have stated, the allergy actually lies in saliva proteins.
However, it should be emphasized that the pets are part of our family and that although it is easiest to solve the problem by giving a pet, sometimes it is not that simple. Never make a pet out of your pace, but try to make it easier for you to do it, without your pet being hurt.

In these cases, ask someone to take care of the animal, it is necessary to limit the movement of the pet to one room, which an allergic person will not use. The situation also improves air filters, and it is often necessary to give a bath to your pet.

Floors and flat surfaces in the home should be regularly monitored and cleaned, and enclosed spaces should be ventilated as dust, dirt and cigarette smoke in the air carry allergenic animals.
