Recent research also points to sleep as a period during which the brain clears out metabolic waste products that have accumulated while the brain is awake and active. Rather like city garbage collections take place during the night as it is faster with less other traffic.

@rycharde That was interesting information thanks for sharing, the brain is amazing that's why we need sleep to recharge it and stay sharp. Thanks for your imput :)
