I recently had this very conversation with my girlfriend and she gave me the yea I know response (typical) lol. Then the next morning she went out and got us some coffee from Dunkin Donuts. I asked for a black ice coffee and she got something fancy.
I saw the opportunity to use her drink to open her eyes to how much sugar she was consuming. She pulled up their menu and started doing the math. Her coffee had 60+ grams of sugar in it! She was shocked and immediately understood how easy it was to over consume sugar.
Drink black coffee people. I promise it's not that bad.
Haha it's cool that you guys are working together on learning about health and nutrition... It always helps to have a partner in the journey! Isn't it wild to look at the nutrition info for places like that online? I love it and hate it - it's fascinating, but scary!!! :)
