rgggh... that was not all that of a pleasant reminder upon seeing this headline first thing logging onto Steemit this evening. ha ha.

I had my first at 21... FREAKED out when I first saw the big lump, as didn't know what a hernia was, thought "lump = cancer." first surgery was a fail. had to redo a year later at a specialized hernia hospital clinic - Shouldice - in Ontario.

turned out to be a bit of a blessing though, as while was waiting for the second, got more into alternative health treatments and made good friends with an acupuncturist who played a very key role in my journeys.

t'was of course not that fun of an experience going through it though!
