Low or Moderate Dietary Energy Restriction for Long-term Weight Loss: What Works Best?

in #health8 years ago

This is an interesting paper I hadn't seen before. Put dieters on a goal of 10% or 30% deficit and provided food for the first 6 months and then they were on their own. Also used doubly labelled water instead of food reporting to determine food intake.

The 10% group actually had a larger deficit. The 30% group a smaller one. Also, look at the weight loss curves.
