Most people do not know about the word ‘’Transhumanism’’. The word probably sounds strange like terminology from a Sci-Fi movie. Sometime in the future Transhumanism will become a popular word which will be used in everyday conversation.
Transhumanism is a movement that plans to change the human condition by constructing great technologies that will improve human psychology and intellect. “Cyborg” is a common word used to refer to transhumans. It is a name given to an automated machine made with human tissue and synthetic hardware. The transhumanist movement and philosophy is already transforming the world. One of the most recognized transhumans is Neil Harbisson, who has an antenna fixed to his skull which transmits electrical signals and picks up information several miles away from his environment. Even at his TED talk he said "I listen to color’’. Scientists are gaining more knowledge about DNA and the makeup of genetics with the ability to manipulate genes which is great technological advancement in the recent years.
Already, through nanobots and CRSPI genome sequencing, scientists can now alter the composition of the human body. Doctors have used CRISPR-Cas9 to tweak the human genetic sequence and give the body the power to combat bladder, prostate, and mesothelioma cancers. These developments have been successful so far, and this technology has also been used to produce tuberculosis resistant cows.
Gene doping and its manipulation
Gene doping is the use of gene therapy in order to enhance performance, it has been used many times to boost athletes’ performance in sporting events. It involves the use of transferring the gene to increase or decrease protein biosynthesis and gene expression of a particular human protein. Gene doping can be done either by collecting cells from the person, injecting the gene carrier into the individual, transfecting cells and administering it back to the individual. The purpose of gene therapy is to heal and prevent injury. Gene therapy is used to enhance the performance of athletes in sports. As a result, these specific genes that may improve athletic potentials are being identified.
Some new substances, for example, antibodies fighting against myostatin blockers are used in gene doping in athletes. Use of these substances might produce an increase in body weight and also improve the strength of muscles. However, it has been proven that uncontrolled manipulation of these genetic ingredients may cause health risks. As a result, these athletes are being banned from performing. Currently, anti-doping research is being done in many laboratories in order to construct new ways for gene doping use in sports. The World Anti-Doping Agency and various sports organizations are ensuring great protection of athletes from serious health damage in gene doping. 
Gene doping has been used since the 1920s in the form of erythropoietin, steroids, amphetamines and modafinil though it has been banned by world anti-doping agency (WADA) and the International Olympic Committee. With the development of gene therapy in medicine and completion of the Human Genome project, there has been a superb progress of research on gene doping and its technology in order to improve the performance of athletes in sports.
Experts estimate in the future we will be able to use these technologies to alter the genetic makeup of a child before it is born. There are big chances that the genomes carrying congenital diseases in children will be removed even before they are born. We will also be able to 'build' the brain of our children before they are born. Also, brain chips are used to help paralyzed people coordinate their nervous system and become capable of moving their weakened body parts. The blossoming of transhumanism will alter the world of health, work, and people’s personality. It will give humans the ability to cure terminal and hereditary diseases by taking off the gene responsible for ailments.

It should be coming out on DVD v.soon ... I wanted it for my birthday but it passed by! Yeah Sheryl, just keep concentrating on becoming a better writer everyday, buy a dictionary to learn new words, read up on writing blogs, try to improve your vids etc etc. The Japanese word 'Kaizen' comes to mind - continuous improvement. Now you know why I love @redhens so much - she has such a tight game, but still strives to improve more everyday - the same as me and you really! :)

sorry....I don't buy it. I know this agenda is from the dark side, there is no doubt. It is paved with good intentions as they wish for us to lose what makes us humans , what makes us children of God.....count me out. I am sure all the celebrities will be most excited about it....this is how agendas are sold.

Orlando area....I am very aware of what they would like to do....you can see the people part of the agenda...talk about it all the time. They feel no sense of morals as the thrust for more robotics (displacing jobs) and push for basic minimum income.....that is not life to me

Yes that's actually my next post about robots replacing humans! Funny you say that. I don't agree with a lot of agendas this wouldn't want a designer baby. I want everything the way God made me. In a way if you think about it, the human race can turn into something different and become extinct or unrecognizable. I am just fascinated by how people follow in line like sheep sometimes.

This is absolutely fascinating. I personally like the imperfections that come with being human, but I understand why people would want to alter their physical characteristics. We are entering an interesting age that was only thought of in cartoons and science fiction. I'm curious to see how this all works out.

I thought transhumanism was when they torture animals to see the reaction and then sterilise people they deem unfit for reproduction, they implant chips in human skin and control minds. Scary stuff right there.
Its crazy if you look up Eugenics and transhumanism they almost have the same definition! We know how Eugenics ended up after it got perverted and distorted by a group of animals.

The human body will never be superseded with science, it is perfect and able to fix itself. The funny thing about science is that we know nothing about the human body at any fundimental level because if we did there would be no death. All we have is a couple of thousand years of documented trial and error, this is what we call medicine. If we knew the basic nature of matter and didn't theorise we would be able to do anything but I know we have gone in the wrong direction hence why we as a race have come to a halt in true science break throughs. My view is the laws of physics and chemistry (matter) need to be re written. Focus needs to be placed on light and frequency, only then will true progress in the human form be made.
Very well said @bodymatrix I think a lot more focus needs to be put into frequencies, but scientists don't want to take that side of science seriously because they wont get funding for it. Its BS bureaucracy, well part of it is. Thanks for your input very much appreciated.

Great post , interesting and thought provoking. Did you watch the series Westworld? I bring this up because I'm not a believer in AI or Transhumanism, I think its pushed as part of a devious agenda to convince people of materialism , that all there is to us is a biological machine when in fact we are non material infinite consciousness, all of us are gods. Westworld is the only piece of mainstream work where I ever heard the term "artificial consciousness" .... intellect is programmable of course, computers can beat humans at chess but in order to create a consciousness we would first need to know what one was and where it resides and modern day humanity is as far from understanding that as we have ever been. Id be interested to hear your thoughts on this
Woo That was kind of deep! I can see you are very intelligent from that reply! I saw Westworld and I thought it was reaching a little too much. I believe it is part of the agenda just like a lot of things are, like having both parents work now a days so the schools can raise our kids, with BS textbooks that aren't even textbooks anymore they are pamphlets. lol
I think we aren't meant to play God, and that it's starting to be our downfall, while others think we need to in order to cure diseases. I don't buy into it, I also don't think man with all their particle smashers and D'wave computers will never be able to create a true consciousness. I think dying is part of life's process, where we go to the next journey of our lives.
I thought Westworld addressed the man becomes god topic beautifully, like Bladerunner or Ex Machiner but took it to a new level. I beleive everything is part of the agenda, even you and I .... there are certain people who are polluting the waters and all of us swim in those waters theres no escaping that. All we can do is put up a fight, the warriors path is that of never conforming , this is beautifully expressed in two movies I love , One Flew Over the Cuckoos Nest and Cool hand Luke ..... in both cases the main protagonist (spoiler alert)sacrifices his life for what is right, its the opposite to "do what thou wilt" .... its do what the universal spirit has chosen you to do, no matter the individual sacrifice.
It did a great job at addressing those issues. The Turing test. Conforming is what they want us to do as soon as we come out of the womb. You mean when Jack Nicholson get shocked over and over and lobotomized? He is the normal and they treat him like the crazy one!

I've had my genetic sequence "tweaked"; it's called a "side effect" of a crappy drug and was not positive, somewhat like "collateral damage".

According to my friend, transhumanism is a trap. Not saying that it wont work, but we already live in a virtual reality, moving to a human made virtual reality will not change many things at the core, just sugarcoat our existence into an even deeper level of fakeness. Sure diseases can be heal, but first we need to ask why we want to heal them. After all diseases is a natural way of regulating population. Getting that protection off will probably cause overpopulation and then and even more terrifying world of ever consuming humans. Think humans as a immunizing virus killing the host even faster.
