Hi there. I'll be sharing some articles from the book of Judith J. Wurthman, Ph.D.
An author of the Carbohydrate Cravers Diet.
The food, mind, mood connection that we are concerned is a basic, normal, and universal phenomenon. Virtually every healthy person will notice almost instantly the effects of eating the calming foods and will experience a mental upsurge after eating energizing food.
FOOD ALLERGIES- like you are sensitive to certain foods or food group. This are an altogether different matter. When you have an allergic reaction, your immune sysytem over reacts to something in the food that your body perceives as a threat, and your defenses are mobilized out of all proportion to the danger. It is the overmobilization itself that constitutes the allergic reaction.
Food allergies aren't uncommon. But those that manifest themselves in mood swings amd behavioral changes without accompanying physical symptoms, such as stomachache, itchiness, a rash, or runny nose, are very rare. Recently both the American Medical Association and the Food and Drug Administration have issued statements to that effect. In other words, the experts who claim that people frequently feel hyper, anxious, or depressed as a result of an undiagnosed food allergy are usually wrong. Much of the advice in some books is inaccurate and misleading.
If you suspect that you have a special sensitivity to a particular food, PLEASE SEE AN ALLERGIST. Keep in mind that if changes in the way you feel or behave after a meal are not accompanied by physical symptoms, those changes are probably a function of the food, mind, mood connection and due to an allergy.
"Anyway, you will be able to eat to direct the way you want to feel and perform if we learn the simple food strategies. Our moods also triger us how we deliver ourselves in the comman of the body. Try to calm down when you feel that your mood is changing. For healthy food, mind, mood connection you eat food suites to you. Make sure that it is a source of nutrients. BE WISE IN EATING".

Cool looking old book. Who knows, the diet information within may be useful. It's difficult to really know. The old is always contradicted by the new and the new becomes old and then contradicted again. What I've learned is that we are all different. What may work for me may not work for you. I eat a lot of tomatoes and I feel healthy. Might work for others, might not.
I found this old book in our old book shelves, i read the content and youre right we are all different but this maybe useful to the others. Thanks in some way that might work for others outhere. Yes mostly old books are being contradicted.
I agree, food and mind are the basis for a healthy person
Yes that'it.
