Please choose actions or activities that will contribute positively to your life and well-being than the ones that don't. You already recognized that alcohol and meds are short term fix. Pay attention that these short term fixes don't linger for a long time - because it will turn into an addiction and your life scan spiral in a dangerous direction. I don't know how much time you have to allocate for self-care. Pick up a sport, talk to someone, join a social group that will lead you to being emotionally and physically healthier. Health is really all we have at the end, and without it, there isn't much we can accomplish. Please value your life and know that you can positively affect someone. Take care.
