Body Mass Index.
Yesterday i posted some easy tips to lose weight. Today i wanna make something clear about the Body Mass Index. A lot of people think that a BMI above the 25 is bad. That is only partly true. The explanation of BMI: Is the ratio between your weight and length. It's a measure to get an impression if your weight is healthy. They key word in this sentence is IMPRESSION. For example: Let's say you have a schedule to lose weight in fat and gaining muscle's. You started with 85 kg. and after 8 weeks you weight is 86 kg and you think how the........is that possible. I will tell you. If you sticked to the traingschedule, food, drinks and rest then it's probably you gained more muscle's in comparison with the weight los in fat. So you could lost around 3 kg fat but gained 4 kg. on muscles The result of you're BMI measurment will be higher then 8 weeks ago because it only looks at weight versus length.
So what are the best way's to measure my improvement's:
- Skinpleat meter
- Fat percentage measure scale (Tanita, always measure this every month at same day and around the same time so that the circumstances are the same)
Every decent gym could help you with this measurments so you can get a better idea of you're progress in the work outs. Always remember that you have good weeks and bad weeks but the result will come if you stick to you're plan and set (short and long term) goals for yourself.
