Colon cleansing.... good or bad?

in #health8 years ago

Colon cleansing or hydrocolonics is a safe and effective method of cleansing our colon by gently flushing with water under very low pressure several times , and at the same time giving some massage techniques on the tummy area to stimulate the release. While doing the release of "feces" in the colon, this is odorless procedure.
The procedure is beneficial especially if you have irregular bowel movement. Each of us should release or flush all of what we eat but unfortunately, not all of what we eat has been flushing out. this is because "majority" of the foods that we ate were not been "grind" or dissolve. Some of those were accumulated and then being stocked on the sides of our large intestines which oftentimes resulted to some diseases (like cancer), but the sad thing is that we aren't aware of it.

Here are some foods that are not good in our body and some foods that is not digesting easily:

  1. processed foods such as hotdogs, canned goods, artificial preservatives, chemicals and sweeteners
  2. red meat
  3. alcohol and caffeine
  4. carbohydrates and sugar juices
  5. stressful activity
  6. lack of fluid intake

How do this being done:

  1. a person that should undergo to this procedure is needed to have a one on one consultation with the professional who will do the procedure.
  2. with patient's consent, a small tube will be inserted in the rectum and water will be slowly being dispense to flow inside the intestine.
  3. when the person already feel the "urge" to release, the water flow will be stopped and this will be followed by the release of the water outside the body and the water will be a combination of a fecal, gas or an acid.
  4. procedure will be repeatedly done for about 30mins.
  5. the hydrocolonics will be repeated based on the assessment of the professional. Some says that in order to have a super beneficial colonics, one has to repeat the procedure for about 3-6 times.

Here's the benefits of hydrocolonics:

  1. improve digestion
  2. weight loss
  3. Boost immune system

do you know other benefits of hydrocolonics?

Crikey, something I'd never considered! So how long can remnants of food remain "up there"?

Also, how far up in the body does the water shoot?

Thanks for an interesting blog!

Hi dasczecher! Food will remain up there depends on everyones digestive system and the kind of foods being taken by us. All solid foods that was not digested will soon stick to the sides or wall of our intestines "forever"..
the water will only travel in the large intestines depending on our intestines "health"..if our intestines are bloated or full of gas, this will hinder the water to get thru the farter distance. But if we are not bloated and/or acidic, the water will go thru the "old" feces and flushes it out thoroughly. :-)
