Happy New Year dear Stemians !!, one of the most popular purposes that millions of people consider when they start the new year is to lose weight !. But, a few months later, most realize, not without some sense of frustration and failure, that this is a harder goal to achieve in life. In this sense, I leave some tips taken from the book: Rules for healthy eating (2009), which can help achieve this difficult but not impossible task:
1.- The key to lose weight lies in not giving up the pleasure of eating light and tasty dishes that can be shared with the rest of the friends.
2.- You must learn to lose weight, eating in a healthy and balanced way. Gradually from 500 g to 1 kg per week, according to the World Health Organization.
3.- Physical exercise is part of the plan to lose weight, always combined with a healthy diet, it is useless to exercise and then eat a larger amount of spaghetti or a sweet.
4.-Thinning is a process that requires weight loss and also of height, especially abdominal circumference,
5.-Nobody can say I'm fat if you do not know your ideal weight, that is, the number of kilos that according to your height, sex and age should weigh, which is determined by the value of the Body Mass Index.
6.- As a curious fact, it often happens that similar statures and textures sometimes weigh differently, this is because there are people whose muscles and bones weigh more but are not fat.
- We can also take what nature offers to lose weight using fruits, plants and spices, such as:
- Cinnamon, extracted from the bark of a tree is a spice with a delicious aroma and flavor widely used in cooking, but also has many medicinal and healing properties.
- Garlic, this species native to Central Asia is used to burn fat, thus losing weight and reducing triglycerides, cholesterol and blood sugar levels.
- Ginger, this root combined with honey and lemon and taken in the form of tea is fabulous to burn fat, also helps to digest food better, among other benefits.
