"SKIN"

THE BODY'S LARGEST ORGAN!

If you think you know everything you beauty and skin....think again.
When it comes to skin the smallest little thing can make a world of a difference. Check out this article published recently. Guys....you have skin too :D!

However if we remove too many cells we can actually reduce our skins vitality and making it more susceptible to damage and UV rays.
Also it triggers an inflammatory response resulting in a compromised lipid barrier that can't function effectively as well as premature ageing.

TIPS ON HOW TO AVOID PREMATURE AGING

  1. Over Exfoliating
Most common problem! We exfoliate to cleanse our skin from dead skin cells for firmer and smoother looking skin. However if we remove too many cells we can actually reduce our skins vitality and making it more susceptible to damage and UV rays.
Also it triggers an inflammatory response resulting in a compromised lipid barrier that can't function effectively as well as premature ageing.
TO REPAIR SKIN CELLS-use a cleanser, toner and moisturiser.

  2. SPF Skin care.
90% of skin damage is attributed by sun damage so protecting your face from UV rays can keep your skin looking younger.
Find a good day time moisturiser with SPF 15.

  3. Leaving your make up on when you go to bed
We are all guilty of this.
Like the rest of our body our skin functions according to our Circadian rhythm. This means our skin renews itself at night time when we are sleeping and when you wear make up this renewal process is hindered causing damage to the skin.
Try keep wipes next to your bed and have a good night time moisturiser.

  4. Are long hot showers causing you harm
As pleasant as they are, they are terrible for your skin.
Hot water strips away the naturally defensive outer layer of the skin, leaving it dry, irritated and scaly.
You should never wash your face with hot water.
No matter how much hydrating body wash you can not turn you'll never be able to return your skin to a healthy balance.
Try a toner to help your skin return to its natural pH.

  5. Getting hair products on your face
This happens to the best of us. Hair Spray contains lacquers and alcohol that will dry, irritate and dehydrate your skin. Shampoo contains surfactants that strip the excess oils and dirt from you hair- definitely not suitable for your delicate face.
Also body lotion should NEVER be applied on the face as the fragrances they contain might irritate your skin.
A good gentle cleanser washes away dirt and impurities without drying it out.

What you put on your skin you should be able to eat...you can eat the sense range but it may not taste like food hehe.

I personally LOVE the Sense Skin Care Range because it has NO CHEMICALS OR PARABENS which are very harmful to the skin when applied over time and also lead to all sorts of other problems.
And also has a two year shelf life!

Feel free to check out my website www.laurent.usana.com where you can purchase a Sense's Basic pack for $149.00 and lasts up to two months.
