In fact, according to the French pediatrician Dr Jerome Valleteau de Moulliac, the baby can be introduced with cold water around the age of six months and above. According to him, at that age the child has started to adapt to the surrounding conditions.

"If in France, how to introduce it by way of fun like swimming and so on, so that children happy first and accustomed.Especially after 6 months was able to bathe with cold water. This cold water is not ice water but water without warm water," said Moulliac when found.

When first introduced with cold water, maybe the baby may be fussy or dislike. "The characteristics, the baby will cry, it's a sign they are not comfortable, do not be forced, slowly do it the next day," he said.

With 44 years of experience researching and developing skincare solutions for infants and children, Moulliac advises not to take babies too long in a cold bath. Because in addition to cold, the skin's natural moisture will be reduced.

According to Moulliac who also serves as a consultant at Ambroise Pare Hospital, the temperature of water that fits for infants ranges from 26 to 27 degrees Celsius.

"Temperature 26 to 27 degrees is quite appropriate for infants when introduced with cold water," he concluded.
