THE MIND CONTROLS THE BODY.

Yes, this statement is so true. For which organ in our body that initiates thinking, nothing else but the brain. The Brain is the physical, the Mind is the intangible force behind.

Without the Brain, no machine that the Mind can influence, then the body has no commanding force therefore it will become useless.

Your brain is a perfect machine that is nourished not just by neurons and glial cells. It stores a precious treasure chest of experiences and memories that make up a huge part of who you are.

This is what we call memory function of the Brain.

Aside from the function of the Brain as a controlling machine, another function is a storage of Memories. Memories are important to us as a person, for this will show who we really are in the past and in the present.

This is how important the Brain is, that's why we must take care of it.

Here are some tips, on taking care of our Brain.

1- Think of foods that are good to our Brain and eat them:

Think of your brain when you are eating. We must choose foods that give nutrients to our brain. What are the foods that are good to our brain?

  • fish, eggs, nuts, bananas, pineapples, and avocados. According to Nutritionists, these food contain an element that is good for the brain, this element is called TRYPTOPHAN

TRYPTOPHAN= has something to do with our appetite. This element urges the Brain to feed the body for the necessary nutrients that helps the body boost it's immune system

The effect of tryptophan on appetite regulation could be mediated through the regulation of the central production of serotonin which is involved in the regulation of satiation and appetite.

2- Think of Doing Something that energizes the Body such as exercise Everyday

Walking everyday for just a few minutes can reduce the risk of diseases like Alzheimer’s or Parkinson’s. When we are walking our brain is functioning, commanding the body and even shows a panoramic view of things in the past, therefore even our memory function is being exercised.
There are other exercises that helps the brain in its memory function just like Dancing.

Dancing has a memorized steps, so when we are Dancing, our body is functioning and also the Brain is functioning.

3- Think of The hippocampus of the Brain and take care of it by Meditation

THE HIPPOCAMPUS -

is located in the medial temporal lobe of the brain, underneath the cortical surface. Its structure is divided into two halves which lie in the left and right sides of the brain. The organ is curved with a shape that resembles a seahorse, and its name is derived from a coupling of the Greek words "hippo" for horse and "kampos" for sea.

This deals with the formation of long term memories. This is the part of the brain being damaged when a person has an
Alzheimer's disease.

Doing a Meditation activates the Hippocampus. Meditation has something to do to calm the body and so with the brain.

4- Think of ways to Stimulate your Brain

One way to Stimulate the Brain is Memorization. Try to Memorize some poems, proverbs and quotations. It also helps to memorize some verses in the Bible. Another is solving puzzles and or playing chess with a friend. These are ways that may stimulate the cognitive process of the Brain. Try them and you will stay young in the heart and in the brain.

5- Think of getting a good sleep and sleep tight

A Sleep of at least 7 to 8 hours a day helps our brain function properly. During sleeping time, the brain is active and can only perform well if we have a good sleep. Train ourselves to sleep well by having a good routine. Make a schedule of the proper time to sleep and our body will automatically follow it and it will become a habit. Try to sleep as early as 9:00 PM and wake up at 5:00 AM .

These are only 5 Tips that I believe if we can perform them, may help us take good care of our Brain.

There are other ways but these 5 are the easiest ways and we can remember them easily. Hope this might help us to take care one of the most important organs in our Body the Brain.

Looks like I have to follow the way. Much is wrong with my brain or with my mind. Very often I quickly forget.

Great tips! I feel like a little bit of exercise combined with meditation is really good for your general health. That way you stay fit and your mental health is also good - meditation has so many health benefits! I also only knew about nuts that are supposed to be good for your brain, but I didn't know that there are so many other foods that help. Thank you for sharing all the information with us! :)
