I can definitely relate to this post. Going through college and eventually coming into the real world, I quickly learned there was a lot of responsibility on my shoulders. To stay on top of it all and ensure I didn't miss anything my mind was trained to constantly be thinking. All of this constant thinking wears you down and literally makes you feel tired. The biggest problem is that not only does it cause a lot of stress, but it causes you to live in the past and future instead of living in the present. If I find myself thinking too much, I bring myself back to the present my reminding myself that I am separate from my mind. Our minds are a tool to help guide/protect us through life, but we have to know how to control it and use it to our advantage. One easy way to bring yourself to the present is to focus on your senses. Focus on what you hear, feel, see, and smell. Hope this helps!
