So, what will happen to your body if you simply go cold turkey and stop eating sugar altogether. Well, as it turns out, stopping eating sugar would be very beneficial to your health. These health benefits are listed in [2].
Basically, you'll lower your blood pressure, greatly reduce the risk of getting Diabetes, reduce the risk of Tooth decay, reduce Depression and Anxiety, sleep more easily in the night and won't be having brain fogs anymore. Even your head would hurt less.
However, stopping eating sugar is easier said than done, as we are so much addicted to it. A good alternative would be to eat more fresh fruits as well as nuts, for snacks.

Excellent article. We have to follow and avoid sugar. Thanks dr sahab.
Actually, topic is much more complex. Yes, sugar is the poison, I recommend watching this excellent speech of Dr. Lustig: Sugar, the bitter truth (1.5 hour long but well worth watching)
But too much we are focusing only on sugar. Carbohydrates is what we should be looking at as a whole group. We should be consuming much less carbohydrates than we do. That's where the problem is.
Body can get needed energy from three sources:
Many thousands of years our main source of energy were fats and proteins. Lately they are carbohydrates. It is that simple.
Yes, but the point is that fructose in fruits is not as bad as raw white sugar, because it digests more slowly, thus there are less insulin spikes. And besides fats and proteins, fruits were definitely part of our diet. Not only humans, but almost all primates eat fruits.
Of course, concentrated sugar is worse. Fruits are beneficial because of the vitamins and fiber. And fiber in the fruit partially offset it's bad part - fructose. But you still have to watch total carbohydrates intake.
Eating too much sugar causes weight gain, abdominal obesity .It increases uric acid levels. We should take average quantity of everything...
You are absolutely right @hamzayousaf :)
