If only I can control my appetite, when I see good food I just can't resist!
You may have thought these words if you are trying to watch what you eat in your journey on losing weight or just being healthier.
Sometimes we need a little bit more than will power to help us controller appetite. Some have resolved to taking unhealthy medication or drugs.
You may ask, is there a healthier approach to naturally suppress my appetite?
In this blog I will share with you some practical suggestions.
Don't make the mistake of starting your new eating habits by jumping into it too quickly before thinking clearly as to how you going to approach this new challenge. No one likes change including your body! So you must prepare your body and mind to adapt to this change.
First step, prepare yourself mentally.
Make a pact with yourself that you will stick to a specific way of eating from minimum of 90 days. We always hear about bad habits. Have you ever thought of creating good habits?
Well usually it takes about 90 days for you to create a habit. Be determined by making daily affirmations to stick to this new way of eating for the suggested amount of time.
Before you know it you would created a good eating habit where you will be able to achieve your health goals.
Water
As I suggested @exyle try drinking a large glass of water before your meals. This can help to suppress your appetite.
Protein
Try eating protein with your meals and snacks. Eating protein will help you feel fuller longer thus reducing food cravings.

Coffee
Studies on coffee show that it can help with weight loss by increasing calorie burn and fat breakdown. According to healthline.com, drinking coffee 3- 4 hours before a meal may influence your stomach to feel empty, thus stimulating your appetite hormones to feelings of less hunger.
If you are sensitive to caffeine please drink sparingly, or avoid completely
In conclusion
There are many additional herbs teas and seeds that you can take that are all natural suppressants. In his blog I attempted to suggest just a few natural and easy steps that you can start using immediately.
There is no one thing that works exactly the same for everyone. Don't be afraid to try different avenues that are natural to suppress your appetite. Remember the first step is YOU!
You must make up your mind that you will stick to your new way of eating for a period of time.
