Parasites can thrive undetected in the human body for a very long time feeding off the energy of their host. Some people don't even display symptoms, but they can still very easily spread parasites from person to person or animal to person via touch or contaminated food, water, or linens.

The good news is that Food Grade Diatomaceous Earth is a safe and non-toxic way to rid the body of parasitic infections!

How to Use Food Grade Diatomaceous Earth to Kill Parasites

Start with 1 teaspoon and work up to 1-2 tablespoons of food grade diatomaceous earth in 4 oz of water or juice a day. Drink on an empty stomach, and be sure to take plenty of water throughout the day to avoid constipation.

As parasites die off and release their toxins, you might experience a Herxheimer reaction with flu-like symptoms for a few days. It's actually a good sign that the diatomaceous earth is working! Continue taking it.

The dead organisms must be flushed from the body. It is important to drink plenty of water and sweat through exercise, hot baths, or saunas. Support your body during this phase with adequate rest, limited exposure to toxins, and a nutritious diet low in if not void of sugar and starches.

Continue using food grade diatomaceous earth for 2 weeks. At this point, you may take a week off and begin the cycle again. Most parasites will be eradicated after a month of strictly following the protocol.

Food grade diatomaceous earth is safe for pets to consume as well, which is important because parasitic infections can be passed from animals to humans!

We are happy to offer Food Grade Diatomaceous Earth on our website by donation towards building a healthier world for ALL!

🐕 Great stuff to use on your pet's skin to get rid of flea's to. 🐕

upvoted and following you.

Thanks it was a great post to check out.

🍁 Just did a new post 🍁

Thank you so much for this post! I have done some parasite cleanses in the past that involved many different herbs and tinctures. I like the simplicity of this. I believe I actually already have some DE in my kitchen. I will try this for sure.

You're welcome! There are many remedies for parasites, including black walnut hulls, cloves, and wormwood, and of course preparation is super important when it comes to consuming them. The simplicity is one thing we appreciate about DE as well, @mishaalmira!

Make sure your DE is food grade; other varieties (including pest control and filter grades) are not safe to consume.

All of these situations lead to a greater risk of disease.Food can be contaminated at any step of production or cooking, especially those handling raw meat, ate pink hamburgers so avoid eating those food.

Do you mean that having parasites can lead to more disease, @bernardrussell? Research is showing that is definitely true. Many chronic diseases present with parasite infections.

if i eat cherries with worms they could live inside of me?

It depends on the species of worm, but yes produce can be contaminated with parasitic organisms @bycz.

bad to know! lol

Great post. I recently posted on the same subject! Great minds! ;) "DETOX or DIE" --> https://steemit.com/health/@flatearth/detox-or-die-powerful-stuff

Thanks! Detox is so important--great to see many people talking about it and hopefully being inspired to practice healthy habits.

You forgot one of the most important symptoms of parasites. cancer. Cancer is a parasite. Cleansing your body of parasites will help keep cancer away.

Love your article. Followed and resteemed!

Thanks, @notoriousdjp! Yep, there's quite a lot of chronic diseases that actually have parasites at their root. Cleansing the body can activate not only wellness, but thrival!!!

Just be sure to include a regimen of probiotics as well! DE doesn't distinguish between beneficial and pathogenic microbes.

Great post. :)

Thanks, @alchemage! Probiotics, especially from fermented food sources like sauerkraut, kimchi, and kombucha, are generally a wise addition to any healthful routine. Gut flora is super important to wellness, since most neurotransmitters are created there! The guts are super key to the health of the immune system as well. Do you have a source you'd be willing to share that states DE kills good microbes so we can do some more research?

There are many parasites that are microorganisms. Parasitic worms are not necessarily microscopic but are considered synonymous by epidemiologists.

I'm having a hard time finding peer reviewed studies about microorganisms and DE. However, on this website for DE it claims to kill bacteria as well as a long list of other benefits. [ https://diatomaceous.org/about/ ]

All in all, it doesn't seem that there have been many studies at all on DE and that much information is based upon anecdotal references.

I use food grade DE in my garden for controlling insects also. I guess it has multiple uses. Thanks.

You're welcome, @garden-to-eat. Yes, it's really quite incredible how many uses DE has, and it's non-toxic and super cheap! We're going to continue covering it in upcoming posts.

You make a great point reminding people about the Herxheimer Reaction. That's something that can really freak people out, or dishearten them when they try a natural remedy. They think it's making them worse, but it really is making them better. Thanks for the great posts.

You're welcome, @drumcrazy!

Yes, it can be a real surprise and quite a bummer to get temporarily sicker when you take steps towards improving your health! But indeed the Herxheimer reaction is a sign of healing, and it can even encourage a person to properly hydrate and nourish themselves and take enough rest, which are also super key inputs to wellness.

Now this I did not know, thanks.

You're welcome, @mandela!

I can confirm that this works from first hand experience.

Awesome, thanks for sharing your testimony, @cahlenlee!

WOW. I had no idea! Thank you for sharing. No more parasite.

You're welcome, @karensuestudios! Health is wealth~*~

Excellent pot dear friend @gardenofeden very interesting, thank you very much for sharing this valuable information.
have an excellent week

You're welcome and an excellent week to you too, dear @jlufer!

I sure hope I don't have parasites.

Statistics aren't in your favor, @brianphobos, but no worries! There are safe, gentle, cheap, and effective treatments for getting rid of them.

Cool :) just got myself some!

Great move, @kaykunoichi! DE has TONS of benefits. It's already cheap, but given its myriad of uses it just makes sense to keep some on hand! We're going to share more about what it can do in upcoming posts. Would love to hear how it's activating your own health and wellness!

Well, I'm back to say... DE is definitely doing it's job. Wow! :) as well as parasites I'm using it for heavy metal detox, to see if my neuro symptoms subside.

Yay!!!! What are you finding that DE is doing for you, kaykunoichi?? Heavy metal detox is another super valuable use for DE and we're going to get into that in an upcoming post. Thanks for sharing; looking forward to hearing more of your updates!

it is making my skin nice! And i feel clean :)

Great read! I love diatomaceous earth! It is so good for detoxification and skin care! Small note for all women on birth control pills who decide to use it internally.... since these pills are pure toxins diatomaceous earth will clean and eliminate them from your body too. So if you rely on birth control pills and take diatomaceous earth internally be careful if you don't want to get unexpected news. Same goes for other medications too.

Amy,

How do you use it for skin care? I have only ever used it internally.

You can make a face mask by mixing DE with a little water, applying it, letting it dry, then rinsing off.

Excellent! Thank you kindly. I will try it this evening.

Hi @billionairebit, you can make a paste out of it and use it to soothe skin problems like eczema, rashes, acne and cuts and scrapes. DE can be used in many kinds of toothpaste, skin exfoliators, polishes, and skin scrubs. It draws out harmful toxins and leaves behind a clean, smooth skin with little to side effects. It also seems to have anti-aging effects and helps with the use of calcium in the formation of strong bones, nails, and teeth. Hope this helps!

Thanks @amy-goodrich. A good point for anyone who takes pharmaceuticals, and also a fine consideration for anyone who is interested in coming off of the drugs as well--DE will flush that stuff out of the body.

True! Haven't been on birth control pills for a while now and I recommend it to all! I feel so much better!

love me some DE!!!

OoOoOo yeah, DE is awesome!!!

Yes- just sprinkled some on the kitty cat this morning, and near her food dish. Stops little ants from invading!

food grade dirt.
who knew?

Right?!?!?!?!!!!
Nature is the coolest!!!

Actually diatomaceous earth is crushed shells.

nope.
it's the skeletons of diatoms.

Diatoms are NOT invertebrates they are SHELLED christophytes. Here is what Encycloedia Britanica says about it. https://www.britannica.com/science/diatomaceous-earth

This is a great post for those just beginning to be aware of how to heal their bodies naturally. I use this in my garden a lot as well to rid the pests. Thank you for sharing.

You're very welcome, and that's an excellent point @gardengirlcanada--DE is really cheap and gentle and safe so taking a little every day is really accessible to natural health newbies. Plus it's got tons of benefits around the home and garden too, as you know!!!

In Mexico where I was born you have to take a couple very strong pills for parasites. Every six months. My dad didn't take them like he should a paradise killed him he was ninety in good health

Sorry to hear that, @cecirod1218. That's a real bummer, especially when you find out that food grade diatomaceous earth is another effective and an even easier cure. Some people aren't aware that they have options!

Yes I will give your information to my family in Mexico thank you so much

You're welcome. Unfortunately, the rates of parasite infection are quite high across the world.
