My bone broth will wake up your immune system and end inflammation. I guarantee you will feel better in 3 days and feel like a new person in a week. Inflammation is the beginning of all illness. We want only natural food in our broth and it will take a little effort to find pure ingredients depending on where you live. Needed are a large pot, bones, water, spices and veggies. My biggest nemesis is inflammation so I use ingredients to reduce inflammation like Turmeric, Celery, and Cilantro. I prefer grass fed beef bones but any bones will do. The objective is to extract the goodness of the bone marrow and cartilage. Slow simmer the bones for 12-24 hours (ok to turn off the heat at night and turn it back on in the morning). I use a 2 qt pot however many use a crock pot but size could be an issue. Submerge your bones in purified water with a splash of apple cider vinegar. The vinegar acids extract the goodness from the bone. Season with rock salt and black peppercorns. Add Turmeric root. Not much is needed a 1-2 inch piece is sufficient. Add veggies like a carrot, celery stocks, and cilantro. I have an aversion to carrots but they are packed full of nutrients. You will notice the fats continue to separate and flavor your broth. The longer the broth simmers the more flavor it will have.I drink a cup in the morning and afternoon. The broth is soothing and gives me an energy boost. A word of warning the broth is detoxifying, you will pee a lot and loose weight.
I make mine almost exactly the same way, sometimes letting it simmer for even 2 whole days. I have found as well as the immune booster and for inflammation, it is also great for stomach issues. A great natural medicine.
