Foreign body on the airway (choked)

in #health7 years ago

Especially in young children, the tendency for the occurrence of airway obstruction caused by foreign objects more easily occur. Children often insert small objects into their mouths, and these small objects are easily sucked into the airway. Choking problems in children can be avoided by providing some easy warnings:

  1. Do not allow young children to play or run when their mouth contains food or other objects.
  2. Avoid small objects such as beads, marbles from the reach of infants and young children.

How to overcome them.
When we encounter a baby choking on a foreign object we must take action as soon as possible.

  1. Place the baby on our arms with the head position facing down, thumb and forefinger each side of the upper and lower jaw, and our hands hold the head and neck of the baby.
  2. Position the baby's head lower than the body, and do 4x a quick blow on the top of the baby's back, between the shoulders. Be careful not to use too strong punch power.
3.If the choking object does not come out, hold the baby's head and change its position to lie on the thigh. Keep the baby's head lower than its body.
Give 5 times the pressure quickly on the breastbone under the baby's nipple using 2 - 3 fingers.
This action is continued until it is effective enough to remove a foreign object from the airway.

Never try to remove a foreign object from the baby's mouth by scraping it with our finger, if we do not see it directly on the object, because this action can cause the foreign object pushing it deeper. Unless we are clearly foreign objects in the mouth of the baby, can be tried to remove it by using our fingers. If the choking is a small child, then as a restrained body used our thighs, the position of the child's head below and the action performed the same as in infants. If the baby fainted, immediately call the ambulance or take it to the nearest hospital
