Complementary and Alternative Medicine

Complementary and Alternative Medicine (TAT) is a term that encompasses many different therapies.

Contemporary medical science is a method of treatment that can be initiated with the patient's wishes when there is no concrete data about the causes and treatment of the disease and the patient is not an objective and proven therapies yet and can be applied with the aim of improving the patient's comfort, strengthening of the immune system and improvement of psychology in support of contemporary medical treatments.

It also comes in the meaning of being used in place of the alternative escape, so it is an alternative to the current medical escape. In addition, today's medicine still applies methods that are both known and valid in all old medicine.

Medicine was made centuries ago, today known as "alternative medicine". The doctors were examining the diseases themselves and treating the patients with plants, waters and other substances they had hoped or learned to work. As human knowledge increases and new diagnostic tools are found, diseases and methods used to treat these diseases have been developed more extensively. Instead of giving the patient any plant leaf, the beneficial agent was distilled and made into drug. He learned how the active ingredients heal in human tissues and synthesized medicines with fewer side effects than the active ingredient.

Contemporary and Alternative Medicine

Pharmacology (medicinal chemistry) makes medicinal products obtained by distilling or synthesizing the active substances in the already existing substances in the nature, but since the plants containing these substances are used raw, the substance synthesis is not carried out. In addition to the active substance, a plant leaf contains many other substances. It does not use contemporary medicine tea blends and similar natural blends because the pharmacological and pharmaceutical effects of these "other ingredients" are not examined. In this regard, many doctors can suggest alternative medicine by saying "try it". More ethical practitioners do not recommend alternative medicine practices and practitioners as they are not reliable.

Contemporary Medicine is a field that is constantly evolving and adding new things. However, there is no definite evidence yet on the content and treatment of some diseases. In the absence of definitive proofs, Contemporary Medicine may be hesitant to avoid harm if it does not provide benefit to the patient. Because the credibility of contemporary environs is not fully proven, the contents are unclear, their pharmacological properties are not enlightened, methods that have not proven their reliability with controlled experiments are not used, and those who use these methods are subjected to charlatans.

In order for the human body to be healthy, it must be receiving all the nutrients it needs. This is called balanced nutrition. All of the substances required for the human body are found in nature. Vegetables, fruits, meat, fish, various herbs, spring water. People must consume what they know to be a benefit in all of them. Most plants contain substances that can be used by humans, and medicines are already made from these or synthesized in the laboratory environment. The balanced consumption of these foods without exaggerating affects human health positively. The use of substances with toxic or narcotic properties that will not positively affect human health is controversial.

Alternative Medicine Tenders

Alternative medical critics argue that the choice of this type of treatment is several motives, such as the following:

Social and cultural reasons

  • The low level of understanding of scientific literature across the population,
  • Increasing scientific opposition to New Age mysticism,
  • Believing in conspiracy theories as a countermeasure to social unresponsiveness,
  • Dissatisfaction with scientific biomedical methods.

Psychological reasons

  • Placebo effect
  • Request to believe
  • Self-confident prejudices in the name of self-confidence protection and social cohesion

I do not like the word "alternate". I prefer to use "complementary". A good write up, though I was expecting something more detailed. Complementary medicines is actually the future in the light of evolution of new diseases and development of resistance to known drugs. The tropical region holds more than 50% of world's plant biodiversity all of which have the potential to save the human population from being wiped out by new diseases. Research should intensify in this area.

Yes I agree with you. In fact, it would have been better if I had written more detailed.

Thank you

You are welcome
