I am a firm believer in the healing power of food. I switched to being a vegan a few years back and all of a sudden suffered from horrendous seasonal allergies. Understanding that food can trigger it I studied what I was eating and read that bananas are just as mucous forming as dairy. At that point in time I was pounding back 5-10 a day to keep up with carb in take and weight management.
So I cut them cold turkey and have not suffered allergies since. This does not mean the same foods trigger anyone else and their allergies. But food for thought.
