MODY is not type 1 diabetes, MODY (Maturity Onset Diabetes Youth) is a rare type of autosomal dominant inherited diabetes, the most frequent form is treated with sulfonylureas. Some patients with MODY could be misdiagnosed as type 1 Diabetes. MODY represents less than 5% of all types of diabetes.
