RE: Biohacking habits to increase your performance that you can implement today!

Would simply being cold and being underdressed suffice? Cold showers, i feel, don't get as cold as i think they should at my place O_O And for the short time i spend there...it seems just too weird it could work? I do it anyway, but i see no benefits so far.

What do you think?

Sort:

Russian powerlifters stay cold one day before the competition to give it a boost. It's good to stay cold overall.

eskiomos wash their children in snow/ice

I'm afraid it would not suffice.

From the recent best selling book Head Strong

By strategically and temporarily stressing your body, you can boost its natural detoxification systems and stimulate the creation of new mitochondria to maximize your energy. (p. 39)
Just taking a cold shower for one minute in the morning is often enough to stimulate cold thermogenesis. (p. 175)

The cold water is an acute stressor that does good. General cold weather doesn't exactly do the same thing.
