There are two types of fibres :

Insoluble fibre :
It doesn't dissolve in water in the digestive system. It passes through the gut without being broken down and helps food move through the digestive system more easily. It keeps the bowel healthy and helps prevent digestive problems, examples are cereals, bran, wholemeal bread, nuts, etc
